Day 1: PHNOM PENH -TAKEO
Leave Phnom Penh for Takeo , 77 km south on Highway No.2. Visit the Tonle Bati temples Prasat Ta Prohm and Yeay Peau dating from the 12th century. Continue to Phnom Chisor, a Brahman Temple dating back to the 11th century, before arriving in Takeo. Overnight in Takeo.
Day 2: TAKEO- PHNOM PENH
Takeo is where the earliest remains of the Khmer civilization have been found and is also a centre for Khmer art and dance. After breakfast, take a boat trip on a local boat to the 6th century Phnom Da where you will visit caves and the Asrom Maharosei temple. Continue to Angkor Borei, a former capital of Chenla, dating back to the 8th century. After lunch return to Takeo by boat and transfer back to Phnom Penh by road.
